ROCKin’teriors once again served as a training site for area design professionals in June. The National Kitchen & Bath Association Eastern Carolina Chapter held its continuing education course on marble use in kitchens at ROCKin’teriors, with instruction by our friend Rob Bacon of Daltile. With numerous training workshops held in our space in recent months, ROCKin’teriors University is now in session! We’re delighted to help our friends in architecture and interior design and encourage you to stop to see what’s happening in our workshop and design studio.
ROCKin’teriors recently hosted our friends at the Alliance of Interior Designers for a workshop on outdoor kitchens. Marni Corley from The Binnick Group and Eddie Casanave with Distinctive Remodeling, LLC shared their insights on the many variables that go into designing a stylish, safe and productive outdoor kitchen.
Our founder, Laura Grandlienard, was recently interviewed about shop safety for an article in the May issue of Stone World. Here’s an excerpt written by Jennifer Richinelli and Jason Kamery. You can read the full article at the Stone World website.
RALEIGH, N.C. – ROCKin’teriors, the region’s only woman-owned stone fabricator, recently earned the coveted designation of “Accredited Natural Stone Fabricator” by the Marble Institute of America (MIA) and Building Stone Institute (BSI). The two organizations recently united to form MIA+BSI: The Natural Stone Institute. ROCKin’teriors is one of only 94 companies to achieve accreditation among the industry’s 17,000 stone fabricators in North America. The eco-friendly business operates its workshop and showroom in Raleigh, N.C., with commercial and residential installation projects throughout North Carolina.
You’ve probably asked yourself the question, “why do I like natural stone?” Well, The Natural Stone Institute’s blog, UseNaturalStone.com, offers the answers! The website is a portal for educational resource and real-life stories on the impact stone has on individuals. Like this one we shared on Facebook about the healing abilities of natural stone, and more recently, how natural stone helped bring a wedding to life during a hurricane.
We’re honored to have this story of our client shared with the world. We love the beauty of Mother Nature and speaking to the opportunities and love natural stone can bring. Thanks to The Natural Stone Institute for sharing our story!
